Nissan has recalled more than 165,000 vehicles across the United States and Canada. According to the recall notice, a spring inside the ignition switch could loosen or break, causing the key to move inside the switch. A loose or broken ignition switch could cause the vehicle to move from the ON to the ACC position, affecting the systems that receive power, such as the airbag, power steering, and braking systems.
Vehicles affected include 2017 and 2018 model Frontier, Versa, Versa Note, Sentra, NV200, Micra, NV1500, NV2500, and NV3500. Consumers with these models are urged to contact a dealer to get the ignition switch replaced as soon as possible.
